I never planned for any of this to become part of my story.

My mom battled breast cancer before me. The same kind of cancer I would eventually hear attached to my own name. I watched what it took from her, and ultimately, I lost her to it.

Then in 2025, at 39 years old, I was diagnosed with Stage III invasive lobular breast cancer.

I was also a single mom raising four kids.

Suddenly life became appointments, scans, surgeries, treatment plans, and trying to keep being “mom” while my entire world was changing underneath me.

I had a bilateral mastectomy.

I went through chemotherapy.

I lost my hair.

I had reconstruction.

I completed radiation.

And after active treatment came the ongoing treatments designed to keep my hormone-positive cancer from coming back.

There were so many physical changes.

I lost my breasts.
I lost my hair.
I lost strength.
I lost pieces of the body I had known for almost forty years.

And somewhere in the middle of surviving, I found myself asking a question I wasn’t prepared for:

who am I now?

Cancer has a way of stripping away the things you once used to recognize yourself.

I had spent so much of my life creating, working, raising babies, building businesses, taking care of everyone around me, and moving on to whatever needed me next.

Then suddenly I was forced to sit with myself.

Not the version of me before cancer.

Not the version I thought I was supposed to become afterward.

Just me.

And I had to learn how to love her.

I had to learn that I could feel grateful to be alive and still grieve what I lost.

I could be strong and completely exhausted.

I could be healing and still hurting.

I could be happy and heavy at the exact same time.

MOODZ was born somewhere inside of that.

It started with clothing, but the meaning became so much bigger.

Because cancer taught me that “how are you?” and “how are you, really?” are two very different questions.

Most of us know how to give the automatic answer.

I’m good.
I’m fine.
Everything’s okay.

But sometimes it isn’t.

Sometimes we know exactly what we’re feeling.

Sometimes we can’t explain it at all.

And sometimes a feeling doesn’t need to be analyzed, fixed, or turned into something positive.

sometimes it just needs to be felt.

That became the heart of MOODZ.

The wave represents the highs, the lows, and all of the hard-to-name places in between.

This brand is for the soft days and the strong ones.

The confident days.
The messy days.
The healing days.
The days you feel everything.
And the days you don’t quite know what you feel at all.

I created MOODZ during a chapter that forced me to meet myself all over again.

And my hope is that when you find yourself here, you feel permission to show up exactly as you are.

You don’t have to have the right answer.

You don’t have to be the easiest version of yourself.

You don’t have to fix every mood.

you can just be in it.

all feels welcome.

Angela
